Emojis, fun way to express your reactions in Google Meet.
Google has created more functions for Google Meet over the past few years to minimize the gap between people who work in different places. Many new features are released to improve users’ experience continually; for example, automatic lighting adjustments, noise reduction, picture-in-picture mode, multi pinning or live captions. Recently, they just launched emoji reactions for users’ quick responses during meetings.

You can start using these fun emojis by clicking the “smile” icon in the toolbar. It will pop up the reaction bar with all available emojis for you to choose as per preference. Everyone in the meeting will be able to see the emoji reactions on the left side of the users’ screen.

You can also choose skin tone which shall be applied to all the other reactions that can change color. The options to choose skin tones can be the best way to represent each one’s identity, in the other word, users can join the meeting authentically.
These emotion symbols allow participants to engage and share quick responses without interrupting the speaker while meeting. In the meantime, users can provide feedback to the hosts or the speakers instead of waiting for their turn to talk. Moreover it can foster team members’ connection to stay better engaged no matter, they are working from home, office or anywhere.
The new features are available for Google Meet on web, iOS devices, while Android devices will follow soon. And they are available for all Google Workspace customers, including users with personal Google accounts.
