Voice messages in Google Chat enhance your communication experience. You can save time and share information effectively.
When you are not at the office, for example having an onsite meeting with customers, and you want to reach out to your team by sending a message, what will you do? Will you input text and send messages on the way while you walk, are in a car, or use public transportation? It is inconvenient that might cause typo leading to miscommunication.
Recently, Google Chat launched the latest feature improving users’ experience. You can send voice messages instead of typing on your mobile devices, including on the web to quickly share information or any urgent topics. It allows you to save time, enabling more seamless communication.

Your voice messages can be sent from mobile devices including web to direct messages, group chats and spaces. The receivers are able to get them on all platforms. To start recording voice messages on your devices, simply tapping the microphone icon, then start speaking. It will visualize a live waveform while the voice is recorded.
Before sending your voice messages to the others, you can check and play it back by tapping the “Play” icon located on the left side of a live waveform. In case there is something wrong when performing a voice recording, you can delete it by tapping the “Trash” icon and try to record again.
*You can preview your voice record before sending it to the other.

Additionally, you can interact with the voice messages such as quote in reply, add reaction or reply in thread that are similar to other chat messages. With this latest improvement, it enables you to save time, convey more information, reduce external distractions and help you communicate with others effectively.
