Time Insights enables you to check how you spend time with specific people for meetings. It assists you in improving work time management.
As everyone knows, effective meetings will help your team to deliver quality work promoting team success. However, have you ever counted or calculated how much time you spend for the meeting every month?… Some people might have several meetings on their schedules which affects working time leading to meeting overload. As a result, it is quite important to be aware and decide how much time they should spend in meetings or focus on performing their own tasks.
Google develops a feature “Time Insights” to solve this issue. It encourages users to visualize and understand better how they spend their time with specific people for meetings, and what they should do to improve their working times. In order to start using this feature, just click on the icon “Time Insights” located on the left-hand side in their Google Calendar.
With Time Insights, you can find the meeting time analysis for example:
– Time breakdown: This is based on the types of meetings you have. It classifies meeting time into categories: meetings with one other guest, and meetings of three people or more. It will also highlight meetings that you haven’t responded to yet.
– Time in meetings: Time in meetings is calculated as an average, average daily meeting duration or frequency, and the total amount of time you spent in meetings.
– People you meet with: This part will show the person whom you spend the most time meeting with. You can also pin up to 10 colleagues to always see your meeting time with them. Moreover, once you move the cursor over an individual person, it will highlight the meetings on your calendar which includes that person as well.
