Announced shutdown App Maker for G Suite customer in January 2021.
From the usage report of Google, the customer who using G Suite did not use App Maker much, then considered shutting down this app which G Suite customers can use or work on App Maker but they will not maintain the system anymore.
From April 15, 2020, the user who is working on App Maker will not have access to create a new application but still be able to edit applications that have already been created. The App Maker will close officially on April 19, 2021 however, the data stored in Cloud SQL will remain and continue to follow the policy by your Google Cloud Platform account.
Google advises alternative solutions for you. Including;
– In case, you use App Maker for automate business processes: You can move to AppSheet which has similar functions with App Maker. Also AppSheet supports Google Cloud Platform (Cloud SQL) which you keep your App Maker’s data on. You can develop your work and work easier on AppSheet functions.
– In case, you use App Maker for develop application: You can use App Engine, this app supports Cloud SQL so you can develop an application on the existing Cloud SQL you keep data of App Maker.
– In case, you use App Maker for collect data: You can use Google Form which also has various features for questionnaires to be your options.
