Google improves comment’s layout display in Google Docs, Sheets, Slides with better practice than before.
Comment is one of the features that allows the team to collaborate in Google Documents. When users are working on Google documents, they can create and reply to comments. Once they want to ask more questions, they can make notes or leave comments directly on the document. It can act as a conversation thread, the team can reply to specific comments and carry on conversations. This is a beneficial and powerful feature for team collaboration. Google realizes this point, so they continue to upgrade to offer a better interaction.

Currently, there are more options for users to interact with comments as per followings:
– Show all comments: Users are able to open up a full-length view to check multiple comments conveniently in Google Docs, Sheets or Slides. They can refer to updated search and filter functionality to focus on the most relevant comments. They will notice the option “For you” list previewing all the comments they have to take action.

– Expand comments: With this option, users can review content and check comments together. That means the comments will be displayed next to the document or presentation content. However, this option is available in Google Docs and Slides.

– Minimize comments: It will reduce panel comments to small icons, so users can have more concentrated views of their tasks in Google Docs and Sheets. As this setting addresses a quick preview on who is commenting when they move cursor over minimized icons.

– Hide comments: Sometimes, users would like to have more focus on the content in Google Docs, Sheets and Slides. So they have more selection on hiding comments from view while they just want to concentrate on documents. It provides a proper look and well-organized documents.
According to the latest updates on comment, users can now search and organize comments easily in terms of show all comments, expand-minimize comments, even hide comments depending on concentration level or which parts they want to pay attention to. It can be customized based on individual requirements enabling seamless collaboration with others on Google Docs, Sheets and Slides.
