New update on the activity feed in Google Drive shows the latest activities in one place.
If you are busy all day spending time managing many projects, attending various meetings with teams and customers, it will be difficult to stay on top of any updates on documents edited among your teams. Would it be better if you can find reminders and stay on top of the updates and follow up current activities on your documents?
Now Google Drive launches the new “Activity feed”. Users are able to catch up on movements on their related document files for example, from all pending access requests, recent comments, or approvals for files. This latest feature can be accessible from the navigation panel left side within your own Google Drive.

– Users can click on “Manage access” to take action on their pending access requests. However, it will not appear if pending access requests don’t exist.
– In case other users have pending approvals assigned to you, they will show in the “Approvals” part. You can click on “Review” to take action on your pending approvals.
– If you have comment-related activity in the last 30 days, you will see them in the “Recent comments” part. Then click “Open comment” to take action on your pending comments. The comments notifications appear if you subscribed to notifications, participated in the specific comment thread, or mentioned in a comment within that file.
Google always concerns any difficulties that come up to users while using Drive. Especially, when many people collaborate in Drive and documents, it might be inconvenient for users to follow up with the latest activities. Google continues to develop new features for Drive which can fix common pain points and improve users’ time management. Although it might be minor changes, they continue to create products and services to optimize users’ experience.
